Looks like diamonds aren't this girl's best friend!
Campbell has been ordered by prosecutors to testify at the war crimes trial for former Liberian president Charles Taylor about reports that he gave the supermodel a diamond at a dinner hosted by Nelson Mandela in South Africa in 1997.
Taylor has been accused of helping to arm rebels in the 11-year civil war in Sierre Leone in exchange for uncut diamonds. He's been on trial for the past three years.
"I don't want to be involved in this man's case," the catwalk queen told Oprah Winfrey in a recent interview. "He has done some terrible things and I don't want to go and put my family in danger."
She won't have a choice in the matter. At the beginning of July, the tribunal at the Hague, where the trial has been taking place, subpoenaed Campbell to testify by July 29 or risk a fine and up to seven years in prison.
The British beauty's in trouble again, but this time she's cooperating!
